According to the legislation, the dog breeds that are considered potentially dangerous require their owners to have a licence to own them. This is the case of breeds such as pit bulls, rottweilers, akita inus, american staffordshire terriers, argentinian dogos…

In the CMR medical centre in Palma de Mallorca, we will carry out a medical examination to check your physical and psychological aptitude to obtain and/or renew your licence for potentially dangerous dogs.

What does the medical examination consist of?

It consists of an auditory and visual test, a reflex test, a psycho-technical test and a personal medical interview.

What is the validity of the licence?

It will be valid for 5 years, and may be renewed for identical periods. During the period of validity, the holder may lose the potentially dangerous dogs licence if he/she fails to comply with any of the established requirements.
